​Heinz Stromps had an international expansion not in his mind, when he founded the company over seventy-five years ago. In the beginning he transported goods from the local textile and machine industry with just eight horses and a three-ton-lorry. Soon, he specialized carrying commodities for the Hannoverian-Mess. Temporary the company had a branch office with a cold store in the capital of Lower-Saxony.

​In the early sixties Heinz Stromps reestablished partnerships with British companies. Trailers designed by him transported machines, chemicals, presses and paint for the textile industry from Krefeld over the Channel. On their way back a lot of different cargo for the British Rhine-Army was shipped. Today the company has partner agencies in the famous London-Docks, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Hull, Newcastle-upon Tyne and Aberdeen as well as in Belfast and Dublin.

​Twenty-five people are working for Stromps + Co. GmbH, another 185, mostly in Great Britain and Ireland, take care of the loading and shipping operations. About 600 trailers per week are coordinated by Stromps + Co. GmbH and travel on the road for the company and their customers.
